TARRAGO - Laundry HighTech Down Cleaner 250ml

Preserves the original properties of the filling, breathability, revitalizes the insulating properties and restores the water resistance of garments and down.

Laundering: follow the instructions on the garment label when washing. Fasten all zippers, including Velcro. Place 1 or 2 garments in the washing machine. Shake the bottle and pour one full cap into the washing machine dispenser (50 ml per garment). For bulky garments, add an extra cap (100 ml). Wash at 30°C, using the delicate garment programme and slow spin.

Tumble dry: We recommend using four clean tennis balls to avoid lumps (drying time 2 to 4 hours). If you do not find any lint in the down filling, the garment is completely dry.

Washing by hand: Follow the instructions on the garment label when washing. Fasten all zippers, including Velcro. Immerse the garment to be washed in a tub of warm water (30°C). Shake the bottle and pour one full cap into the bath (50 ml per garment). For bulky garments, add an extra cap (100 ml). Soak the garment properly and leave for 15 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Repeat the procedure if necessary. Allow the garment to drain to remove any excess water that may remain inside.

Drying: Remove the garment from the bath, gently wring it out and spread it out in a well-ventilated place (never hang!). Gently wring the garment every hour during the first day. Twice a day, shake the down filling evenly (repeat the process for 3 to 4 days). If you do not find any lint, the garment is completely dry.

To increase the waterproof effect of the garment, we recommend using TARRAGO DOWN PROTECTOR, pouring the Down Cleaner into the washing machine dispenser and the Down Protector into the softener reservoir in the same wash cycle. For hand washing, we recommend washing garments with Down Cleaner first and then repeating the process with Down Protector.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Down products are one of the softest and best value garments for outdoor activities. They maintain body temperature and warmth, trapping air in the feather fibers. When these products are exposed to adverse conditions such as rain, cold, dirt, abrasion and sweat, integral properties such as insulation, waterproofing and heat transfer are lost. All of these situations can cause a significant reduction in the required properties of these products. In extreme conditions this can be a serious problem for the athlete, loss of insulation properties, breathability, increased moisture penetration and therefore increasing the weight of the product. The lack of information and special products for the care of these products in many cases causes them to be treated with inappropriate products that reduce their durability.
